May 1st I began my journey to Tunisia. I was so excited to finally get to see Walid and start our life together. At 4:40pm I boarded my plane in Kansas City and hoped the long day ahead would go by quickly. I got into Atlanta which was my first connection and they told me to go to terminal E5 so I finally found E5 and sat there for a few minutes when I noticed the board said London... NOT Paris... so I go to the desk and ask... they said my terminal had changed to E37.... so I run with my carry on bags to E37 and my flight had already been boarded but was still on the ground. They would not let me get on and said they would get me on the next flight. So I got my standby ticket and went back to E7 to wait for my flight to get confirmed. I finally get my ticket confirmed about 10 minutes before boarding and I'm ready to go. I got on the plane and was to sit between two people for 9 1/2 hours... this was going to be fun. One person was from Stockholm and the other person was from Egypt. Both very nice people and helped make my trip easier. I couldn't really sleep because the night was so short on the plane... it was dark for only about 2 hours... so I watched the movies and listened to music to pass the time. Finally the plane lands in Paris and I'm excited because I'm even closer to being in Tunisia... Of course I had just missed my next connection so I would have to get on another connection.... but I got my flight confirmed right away so I didn't have to wait around in the terminal... I actually got to walk around a bit. The airport in Paris is HUGE and it's amazing the stores they have there to buy duty free items.... I decide that I'm just going to buy what I want for gifts in Tunisia after I see the prices... I did however buy 2 $6.00 Coca Cola's.... lol. It was time to board the flight to Tunis and I am exhausted... but excited. I was only on the plane for half an hour and ate then I fell asleep.... and stayed asleep until right before the plane was about to land (about 2 hours). I look out the window and see the most beautiful sight.... I see Tunisia and the Sea! I could not wait to get off of the plane to see Walid. The plane landed and I went to get my luggage.... one of my bags didn't make it there so I had to go to baggage claims first.... this took about one hour and then I went to meet Walid... I couldn't see him.... there were so many people with dark hair just like him so I walked around looking. I tried to use a payphone but couldn't figure out how since it was all in Arabic... then went to the information desk to see if they could help me and they thought I wanted to call the police... lol. So I found a place where I could buy a prepaid cell phone... Tunisiana! They spoke english and helped me buy a phone. I called Walid and he says "I see you babe".... so we hung up and it felt so wonderful to finally hug and kiss him. We were both laughing and smiling... then he led me to the car that would take us to Hammamet... his cousin Mourad had a friend who would take us there. This was the most insane ride ever... these 4 guys had me laughing the whole way there... finally we get to Hammamet and the Samira Club.... our Castle by the Sea~~~
