Almost here

On Sunday we will celebrate Madalynn's 3rd Birthday. This has been a big year for our little sweetie. She has learned so much. It's hard to believe she is so grown up. I remember when she was just home from the hospital... it was hard to hold her because she was so tiny. I held her as she slept last weekend and thought back to those days when she was this tiny lump on my shoulder and now she spralls all across with her arms and legs curling into you. She is such a sweet little girl too. For every ounce of spit and fire she has in her there is twice as much sweetness. Once she falls in love she holds on tight. Don't make her promises because she will hold you to it... I told her one day "I'll be back to see you sweetie".... and she TOLD her Mommy to call be cause "Krystal said BE BACK".... of course I meant that I would be back another time... not neccessarily that day... but she remembered...

We are having her party Sunday at Chuck E Cheese. Madalynn is sharing her party with a very special little boy. JP was born 3 weeks before her and was her pod mate the whole time she was in the NICU. JP was also born very early and he really struggled through the NICU.... we are so excited to see him and his Mommy Joyce. I imagine there will be some tears and know there will be lots of smiles and laughter. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Pros and Cons of being Two-fers

Pros

- You are never alone
- You always have someone else to blame things on
- You get a bunch of attention because of being twins
- Growing older as twins is even more special
- That twin bond... it really exists
- Sharing EVERYTHING

Cons

- You are never alone
- Someone can blame things on YOU!
- You get a bunch of attention because of being twins
- All boys want to date BOTH twins.... made for some great arguments
- Sharing EVERYTHING... I still can't eat a Big Mac without taking the top half off of the bottom... lol
- Knowing that someday one of us will die first.... I couldn't live without her.

So most of the pros are also the cons.... All joking aside though.... Being a multiple is something that a singlton will never understand. There is a secret bond we share... something will always ties us to each other.... no matter how angry, how much we try to distance ourselves... and no matter how many miles come between us. We are always drawn back to each other. I feel special because I have Kandice in my life. I hope she feels as blessed as I do.

Two 4 the price of 1- What does that mean???

Being born a packaged deal, life can get crazy. The "?" we get asked a lot is "What is it like 2 B a twin?", My best answer is "been a twin since our egg split in utero & I can't remember that far back so I DON'T KNOW" Kandice is my BFF. How many people can say they've known their best friend 4 ALL of their life? We have shared so much in life (much of the time not by choice) & our relationship continues 2 grow as we get older. So here's my blog about life being "Two 4 the price of 1"!

Two Chimps and a Blonde

A blonde lady motorist was about two hours from San Diego when she was flagged down by a man whose truck had broken down. The man walked up to the car and asked, "Are you going to San Diego?"

"Sure," answered the blonde, "do you need a lift?"

"Not for me. I'll be spending the next three hours fixing my truck. My problem is I've got two chimpanzees in the back that have to be taken to the San Diego Zoo. They're a bit stressed already so I don't want to keep them on the road all day. Could you possibly take them to the zoo for me?

I'll give you $100 for your trouble."

"I'd be happy to," said the blonde. So the two chimpanzees were ushered into the back seat of the blonde's car and carefully strapped into their seat belts. Off they went.

Five hours later, the truck driver was driving through the heart of San Diego when suddenly he was horrified!! There was the blonde walking down the street and holding hands with the two chimps, much to the amusement of a big crowd.

With a screech of brakes he pulled off the road and ran over to the blonde. What the heck are you doing here?" he demanded, "I gave you $100 to take these chimpanzees to the zoo."

"Yes, I know you did," said the blonde," but we had money left over---so now we're going to Sea World.

Bettah Day is on the WAY

So I got like 12 hours of sleep last night... I am feeling somewhat better. I think my allergies are really the big problem right now. I have woken up swollen and stuffy the last few days...

Friday is on the way so how could I not be happy. I have to work late that day but that's ok... No big plans for this weekend. Probably more of what I was doing last week. I did a total overhaul on my room and living room. Now I have like 2 more closets to clear out... and they are stacked to the ceilings right now so hopefully I will find lots of stuff to get rid of in the process. I might have to enlist a few of my slaves to help with the hauling off process... lol.

Only two more weeks until Madalynn turns 3. We really need to get our rears in gear on the party plans so I can get her invites out. I also still need to find her a gift.

Hope Hump Day is treating you all well. I am off to grab some lunch... TTYL

Feeling BLAH!

I hate feeling the way I have lately... Maybe I need to go see my favorite girl to put a smile on my face. Nothing really is wrong so much.... I'm tired.... I'm just in a funk! The rain outside really isn't helping... maybe the Starbucks Vente Iced Mocha Latte will help.... Since I don't want to spread my bad mood.... I should say bye for now... lol. Hope life is treating you well

Just wanted to share

A couple of weeks ago I took Madalynn to get her three year pictures taken. I picked them up today and they turned out so darn cute. It's funny the faces kids make as they get older when they know they are being photographed... Madalynn has this new little toothy grin... LOVE IT!!! Not sure who all reads my blog but.... these are for you... Enjoy!

Family Picnics

Our family has been so busy that we've rarely had a chance to all get together. We had a scare on Friday as my Step Dad was rushed to the hospital. We are still unsure about what is going on with him and he was sent home Friday night but he still wanted to have the picnic at the lake that was already all planned out on Saturday. The guys fished on the dock and the gals played with the kids and prepared the food. It was so nice seeing most of the kids together. We got a few pictures of the grandkids too. I think we all had a good time. Here are a few pictures from our day. Hope your weekend was fun and filled with family time.

Is it really only TUESDAY????

I'm wishing it were more like FRIDAY at 5pm. Some days are just harder than others it seems. I guess working different hours this week probably has my whole routine out of whack, then the weather is cruddy outside... many things factor into a "rotten" day. Humor helps so I'll have to find something to make me laugh and all will be well in my little world. Here's a joke ;)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"A woman was waiting in the checkout line at a shopping center. Her arms were laden with a mop and broom and other cleaning supplies. By her actions and deep sighs, it was obvious she was in an extreme hurry, and was not happy about the slowness of the line. When the cashier called for a price check on a box of soap, the woman remarked indignantly, "Well, I'll be lucky to get out of here and home before Easter!" "Don't worry, ma'am," replied the clerk. "With that wind kicking up out there and that brand new broom, you'll be home in no time."

Here's to hoping your day is going much better. :)

Blog #2, Conquering #2 & the end of #2

With this being Miss M's favorite number we pay tribute. Today is a two-ful kinda day. So two blogs in one day... this is a big deal in itself but on to the conquering #2 portion... Miss M did great all weekend potty training but #2 opportunities never came up until today. She got up on the "big toilet" and took care of business so to speak. She got to wear the crown of success and even got her Dad's approval who didn't think we could call her trained until after #2 happened.... so THERE Daddy... she now earned her crown. This brings me to the end of #2..... could Miss M really be turning 3 in less than a month? How could this be? She was once this teeny tiny baby girl who we feared would not survive at birth to this beautiful creature that has amazed us everyday as she has grown. Miss M.... she's the apple of my eye.... and I look forward to what the #3 has in store for her. :) Here's a picture from tonight... the last was a picture of her "on" her throne... this one is of her crown... lol

New to this

Ok... so I know what a blog is. Know how to do it... but you might bear with me while I figure out this whole new site. I'll try to make my page as savy as some I've already seen and love. :) This past weekend was dedicated to working with my girlie on potty traing. We had a successful attempt and I sent her home in big girl panties. Here is a picture of "Miss M" last year with her new potty (btw she doesn't have any interest in using it because the "Big Toilet" is much better) it has all the bells and whistles but the best part is standing in it... lol
Much love, Krystal
