High School Musical on Ice

Last week I became the "Best Aunt In The World" by taking 3 little girls to see High School Musical on Ice (ok my sister and I loved it too). It was really good. I'd love to go see Disney on Ice when it comes around here soon too... The girls got lots of stuff (it was all so way overpriced but oh well... lol) and I got to go home with an injury to my ankle... (I blame my sister for having the great idea of climbing over the the seats in front of ours).... I went to step down on the seat in front of mine and one foot fell through the seat while the other one stayed on and crushed the other.... OUCH... well I walked around on it all week before getting it looked at. I was able to walk fine on it until Thursday when I had pain shooting into my calf and into my toes so I went to the ER. It wasn't broke but I did tear my deltoid ligament and also have a Grade 2 medial sprain... after a few weeks of RICE treatment.. I'll be good as new.

 

 

 

 

Maddy's BFF's Birthday

Maddy's first friend and best friend JP turned 4 last week. Last Saturday we traveled to Manhattan to attend his party. JP was Maddy's pod mate when they were in the NICU... they shared a nurse for the entire time Maddy was in the hospital (JP was in there much longer because he was earlier and sicker). These kids have a bond that is much like that of being a twin. They are so connected to each other... and are so kind to each other when most little ones their age fight and don't share well... JP will hopefully be here in 2 weeks to help Maddy celebrate her big day as well.

Major Update

I realize after reading other blogs that I have totally neglected my own blog. I am in need of a fierce update. So much has happened but life has been crazy and I never seem to have the time.

First off the family is all doing well. I am about to be a "GREAT" Aunt... not in the same sense as "you are an awesome aunt"... as in my nephew is about to be a Daddy. We found out that it is to a little girl a few weeks ago and I couldn't be more happy. Her name will be Adriana (Adriauna is how it will sound). I have already begun the ritual spoiling of her too. Look for some pictures in late September. We hope and pray she waits until then to make her arrival.


Next... the rest of my little sweeties are doing well. I had a big sleepover with 3 of them last weekend (Sabrina-12, Malachi-10, Madalynn 3).... it was alot of fun and the kids were a huge help in some spring cleaning I was working on. We stayed up late eating popcorn and watching movies together. It was fun!



I went to work on Monday and found out that my department (well me and my friend I call Amber Ho) were Soar of the Month (employee of the month)... I feel like we work very hard each day and it was great to be appreciated for it. We get to have our picture professionally taken next Friday for the Soar Wall and we get to share a perk (basically $280). This is only the second time an entire department was Soar so it is a big honor. There is no one I would rather share this with either.

All the past blog's drama has been resolved and now life seems to be going great. My Jeep has a "brand new booty".... I had the dreaded crown pulled out after weeks upon weeks of constant pain and our M4B is complete for another year. I'm still waiting on some contributions to come in but we are well over our goal of $2000 which makes me really happy. Our event was great and everyone had a blast. The weather was windy and cold all day but once again let up when it was time to walk so we could enjoy it all. I made another video for our Memory Lane. We had a beautiful ceremony for all of the babies that lost their lives too soon. This is a great organization to be a part of. I am really enjoying doing my volunteer work locally with the March of Dimes. We have some great things planned out for the future of our chapter.

What is going on????

It's been a rough week. So far I have been rear ended in a parking lot on Monday (no one was hurt except my car... thank goodness), Tuesday I had alot of pain in my shoulder (which I've had problems with for a few years), Wednesday I almost got hit by a car being chased going 110 mph by 15 police cars and a Helicopter and today... I had my permanent cap put on one of my teeth and I was in a bunch of pain all day. What is going to happen tomorrow??? Could my luck get much worse? Highlights from the week... I got to see my Maddy... she always puts a smile on my face!

3 months... no post

Odd isn't it??? I apologize for being so scarce but life has been crazy lately. All is good though. I am working hard, working out and trying to eat better.
